EKIES ALL SENSES RESORT

Ekies All Senses Resort in the north on the peninsula Sithonia, that’s various little buildings in a nature reserve established by the European Union. Every single building and room is unique because they are all planned by different architects and interior designers and they were renewed some years ago. That’s a great mixture of styles that give the resort its special character.

Leaving the room you step right into nature. Shade-giving trees, palms and flowers and every now and then stylish sitting accommodations (everything from Arper to Vitra) or hammocks. There’s no way you can not relax when you are lying in a bean bag by the beach or pool.
Ekies is a very family friendly hotel. There are many young stylish families so you should not be too sensitive about the noice of playing and hungry kids. If you want complete silence we recommend a treatment in the spa area because while we had our couple massage there, we really forgot everything around us.
The resort is located in a bay with an own sandy beach. The sea is very shallow, you can walk quite long till it gets deeper. And there are hardly any waves so that’s why it actually is perfect for families with little kids! But no worries – if you want a different kind of beach you can easily visit the beautiful Karidi Beach by foot which is one of the most beautiful places in Chalkidiki. The hotel also offers boat trips! Guess what, we did it, so we sailed along some cute little islands with an old fishing boat, anchored at lonely beaches and jumped into the water every now and then.
At the beachside there are some restaurants which belong to the resort. There’s a beach bar and the Kuko-restaurant for the half board guests. The Bubo is an à-la-carte-restaurant where we had a greek salat which is so special and delicous that it even won awards! The Treehouse restaurant is even more special because it is right beneath the treetop with a perfect view on the sea, a bit more of privacy and a super delicious menu.
But all that was nothing compared to the dinner we had on our last night because we had a private dinner at the end of the jetty! The view of the setting sun, the swishing waves, the great award-winning menu and the fact that it was just the two of us made this night unique and special! The hotel officially offers private dinners – so you just have to ask and book it for you and your partner. If you have the chance, you should do it. It was an incredible experience and the perfect ending of the journey for us.
